About Us
Peregrine Kayaks-A Unique Michigan Company
Think of Michigan and the first thought to come to mind are sparkling blue waters enjoining its Great Lakes coastlines and 11,000 inland lakes with 36,000 miles of rivers and streams. ( Michigan has more coast line than any other state except Alaska ) And of course Michigan is also famous for technical innovation and skilled craftsmen who bring the world some of the finest automotive products ever produced. But why not kayaks? That’s what a small group of kayakers and automotive engineers thought in 2008 while paddling the scenic waterways of Michigan . These avid kayakers compared notes and swapped emails and phone calls exploring the concept of resurrecting hand-made, high quality kayaks here in the USA that were perfect for their needs.

With the Keweenaw HV in full production the crew has been focused on the lower volume version for smaller paddlers. Same length and width but with a lower and snugger fitting deck for those not needing the generous foot room of the HV. Mid-fall is the target for the LV so keep an eye on our website for late breaking details.

What a great time we’ve had with paddlers at our test demo centers! You owe it to yourself to visit one today and see and feel for yourself what a Peregrine Kayak is all about. The folks at QWS have been busy working on some new video footage for the Keweenaw we think you’ll find very informative. Only problem has been they love paddling the Keweenaw so much they seem to keep taking off on little excursions and journeys and don’t seem to quite get the editing done! We should lay the law down but who can blame them?
