Details on all of the custom kayak options we offer

I'm sure by now from reading our product pages you know about all the different stock kayak color combinations we carry and a how we can match any color you want. You have probably also seen the list of additional options like "suitcase handles" which we offer. Well, here we go into a little.....OK a lot....more detail about all these additional options.

Standard Colors (deck/hull):

Custom Colors (any of the above colors in any combination)

U-Pick Custom Color

  • Send us a paint chip or sample color and we will match it!

Suitcase Handles

All of our kayaks comes standard with toggle handles, however if you don't like the toggle handles, or you want the toggle and suitcase handles, just let us know. Suitcase handles go on the bow and stern and we will re- inforce those areas for the handles.

Toggle Handles

These handles come standard on all our boats. Light and easy to use, they are a mainstream in the industry.

Security Bolts

If you desire, we can replace a rigging location with a low-profile security bolt for locking your kayak up.

Rigging Line Colors

Our standard bunji color is black and safety line color is reflective black. If you would prefer other colors, let us know.

Custom Thigh-High Braces

To help facilitate that "one with the kayak feeling" we provide custom cut foam braces for the inside of the kayak and the outside of the knee. These braces will help provide a conforming fit in the cockpit and will not in any way hinder the entry/exit of the boat.

Seat Options

  • Conforming seat:

    This is our standard set-up. A light-weight plastic seat with comfort foam, this seat is light and comfortable. Paired with a IR backband for great back support, this is a great seat/backband combo.

  • Custom Seat:

    This is a foam seat carved out by us and covered with a wicking fabric for long term durability and comfort. There is zero creaking or movement with this option and no stress on the coaming seam. This seat is our most comfortable and also serves as added flotation. The back band is adjustable both forward, back, and up and down allowing for tremendous contact and support for the paddler.

    • Captains Under Deck Locker

    This is a removable storage bag conveniently located under the deck and serves as a additional day hatch. Store safety supplies, maps, sunglasses, or anything else that needs easy access. Pops out and travels with you in seconds. Keeps your valuables up high off the floor and within easy reach versus wrestling around trying to use a "day hatch" behind you.

    Rudder Installed (Keweenaw Only)

    For those of you looking for a rudder on the Keweenaw we will install a complete rudder system including rudder blade, cable lines, and rudder footbraces.
